Embedded videos:

  • Not all functionalities of embedded videos are available when using a keyboard. (WCAG 2.1: 2.1.1 Keyboard).
  • Using some embedded videos with a screen reader is difficult, as the keys and elements of the embedded video cannot be viewed the same way as regular html content. This causes difficulties when using desktop browsers, and controlling the video may even be impossible with a mobile device. There are no instructions for using embedded videos.   • The visually shared information of some embedded videos is not visible for screen reader users. (WCAG 2.1: 1.3.1 Info and Relationships, 4.1.3 Status Messages)

Forms:

The  forms for home meals linked to finnish and swedish websites are currently not accessible. The application utilized in them has identified accessibility deficiencies, which will be corrected later by changing the form application

Accessibility assessment

The accessibility assessment has been carried out in accordance with the guidelines of the City of Helsinki and using methods that aim to ensure the accessibility of the website at all stages.

Accessibility has been verified through an audit performed by an external specialist and through self-assessment.

Accessibility has been verified using a programmatic accessibility verification and manual inspection of the website and content.

The deficiencies reported by the assessment tools have been reviewed and repaired when necessary.

The external specialist audit was carried out by Unicus Oy.

Updates to the accessibility statement

The accessibility of the website will be maintained through constant supervision as the technology or content change, as well as through regular inspections. This statement will be updated in connection with the changes to the website and as accessibility is inspected.

Accessibility in the City of Helsinki

The City contributes to the accessibility of digital services by making publications more consistent and organising accessibility-related training for its employees.

The accessibility level of websites is constantly monitored in the maintenance of the sites. Observed deficiencies are reacted to immediately. The aim is to carry out all required changes as soon as possible.
